This repository within MedCert.Com includes a unique approach to learning in which a specific patient is presented with “classic” signs and symptoms associated with a disorder. No unrelated, rare or misleading information is included.
The standard format includes a demographic (male or female with geographic location if pertinent), followed by progressively more “specific to the disorder” information with each click of the mouse. Once all of the signs and symptoms are listed, only the diagnosis box will remain. Make your diagnosis at this point and click again. The correct diagnosis will be displayed along with a treatment box. After you have decided on the proper course with which to proceed, click and reveal the appropriate treatment path.
This is a VERY IMPORTANT part of the MedCert exam preparation process. It prepares your brain for test taking. Every nuance of the question, gender, location, and specific ‘red-letter tests’ will tip you off to the correct answer!! PLEASE review these so you know them IN YOUR SLEEP. Once they are in you long term memory, questions containing any part of these presentations will trigger the answer. When a patient is presented from a specific region, recent travel, and certain lab tests, your brain will associate it with the correct answer.
Remember REVIEW this section repeatedly until you can predict the correct answer after only two to three clues!!!!
